Dear Mr. President Come take a walk with me Let's pretend we're just two people and You're not better than me I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep What do you feel when you look in the mirror Are you proud How do you sleep while the rest of us cry How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye How do you walk with your head held high Can you even look me in the eye And tell me why Dear Mr. President Were you a lonely boy Are you a lonely boy Are you a lonely boy How can you say No child is left behind We're not dumb and we're not blind They're all sitting in your cells While you pay the road to hell What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay I can only imagine what the first lady has to say You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine How do you sleep while the rest of us cry How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye How do you walk with your head held high Can you even look me in the eye Let me tell you bout hard work Minimum wage with a baby on the way Let me tell you bout hard work Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away Let me tell you bout hard work Building a bed out of a cardboard box Let me tell you bout hard work Hard work Hard work You don't know nothing bout hard work Hard work Hard work Oh How do you sleep at night How do you walk with your head held high Dear Mr. President You'd never take a walk with me Would you
This time, This place Misused, Mistakes Too long, Too late Who was I to make you wait Just one chance Just one breath Just in case there's just one left 'Cause you know, you know, you know That I love you I have loved you all along And I miss you Been far away for far too long I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore One my knees, I'll ask Last chance for one last dance 'Cause with you, I'd withstand All of hell to hold your hand I'd give it all I'd give for us Give anything but I won't give up 'Cause you know, you know, you know So far away Been far away for far too long So far away Been far away for far too long But you know, you know, you know I wanted I wanted you to stay 'Cause I needed I need to hear you say That I love you I have loved you all along And I forgive you For being away for far too long So keep breathing 'Cause I'm not leaving Hold on to me and, never let me go
Today was my second day in my design class. We were told to bring in some snacks and a plate. So I brought in wheat thins, sour candy straws and gummy worms. We were told to "plate" our snacks in a creative way. Then we had to go around and look at everyone elses plates. I was told by the teacher that mine was different then everyone elses. Which made me nervous! He said that I think outside the box. All the others students put their food in round shapes to match the round plates they were using. Mine is shaped like a triangle, yet is placed on a round plate. He said that is very good and looks forward to seeing my future projects. How cool is that?!?!
Here's my plate. I took the picture with my phone.
I took this picture of Rocki the morning after I got back from the Keys. He has gotten bigger and cuter, even though I didn't think it was possible. I love this little boy more and more every day. He is a big momma's boy too. He follows me every where I go. Silly boy.
Well, I got a call from my friend Chasidy Thursday. she asked me if I wanted to go to the Keys with her. I asked her if she was serious, and she was!!! So, Thursday night at 6 we hit the road. It is an eight and a half hour drive. We got to the Keys at about 2:30 in the morning. We went straight to bed and woke up early the next morning. Chasidy, Donna and I went to the grocery store. While we were in there, I go t a call from FCCJ telling me that my Child Psychology class would not start until September 25th. Ok, no big deal. Well for the next few days we went lobstering, fishing and snorkeling. We ended up staying an extra day. That day turned out to be the best lobstering day and I got sun burnt. Chasidy, Jim and I went out on the boat to go snorkeling then go fishing. Well we never made it to fishing because we ran out of gas!!! It was really funny. Donna had to come save us. On the way home we Chasidy and I stopped a few places, did a little shopping and made it home 7 at night. I had sooooo much fun and did lots of cool things and managed to not get a sun burn until the last day we were there. Here are some pictures I took while we were there. I took them with my phone so their no to great, but they are the best I could do. Enjoy! The house we stayed in. Nice huh?
